NTN軸承安裝結(jié)束后，為了檢查安裝是否正確，要進(jìn)行運(yùn)轉(zhuǎn)檢查。小型機(jī)械可以用手旋轉(zhuǎn)，以確認(rèn)是否旋轉(zhuǎn)順暢。檢查項目有因異物、傷痕、壓痕而造成的運(yùn)轉(zhuǎn)不暢，因安裝不良，安裝座加工不良而產(chǎn)生的力矩不穩(wěn)定，由于游隙過小、安裝誤差、密封摩擦而引起的力矩過大等等。如無異常則可以開始動力運(yùn)轉(zhuǎn)。

大型機(jī)械不能手動旋轉(zhuǎn)，所以空載啟動后立即切斷動力，機(jī)械空轉(zhuǎn)，檢查有無振動、噪音、旋轉(zhuǎn)部件是否有接觸等等，確認(rèn)無異常后，進(jìn)入動力運(yùn)轉(zhuǎn)。

動力運(yùn)轉(zhuǎn)，從空載低速開始，緩緩的提高至所定條件的額定運(yùn)轉(zhuǎn)。試運(yùn)轉(zhuǎn)中檢查事項為，是否有異常音響、NTN軸承溫度的變化、潤滑劑的泄漏或變色等等。如果發(fā)現(xiàn)異常，應(yīng)立即中止運(yùn)轉(zhuǎn)，檢查機(jī)械，必要時要拆下NTN軸承檢查。

NTN軸承溫度，一般可根據(jù)NTN軸承座的外部溫度推測。但利用油孔直接測量NTN軸承外圈的溫度更加準(zhǔn)確。NTN軸承溫度，從運(yùn)轉(zhuǎn)開始逐漸升高，通常1——2小時后溫度穩(wěn)定。如果NTN軸承安裝不良，溫度會急劇上升，出現(xiàn)異常高溫。其原因諸如潤滑劑過多、NTN軸承游隙過小、安裝不良、密封裝置摩擦過大等。高速旋轉(zhuǎn)的場合，NTN軸承結(jié)構(gòu)、潤滑方式的選擇錯誤等也是其原因。

NTN軸承的轉(zhuǎn)動音用聽診器等檢查，有較強(qiáng)的金屬噪聲、異音、不規(guī)則音等說明異常。其原因有潤滑不良、軸或NTN軸承座精度不良、NTN軸承損傷、異物侵入等。
