一般，如果正確使用軸承，可以使用至達(dá)到疲勞壽命為止。但會有意外過早地?fù)p傷，不能耐于使用的情況。這種早期損傷，與疲勞壽命相對，是被稱做故障或事故的品質(zhì)使用限度。多起因于安裝、使用、潤滑上的不注意，從外部侵入的異物，對于軸、外殼的熱影響之研究不夠充分等。

　　關(guān)于軸承的損傷狀態(tài)如：滾子軸承的套圈、擋邊的卡傷，作為原因可考慮，潤滑劑不足、不適合、供排油構(gòu)造的缺陷、異物的侵入、軸承安裝誤差、軸的撓曲過大，也會有這些原因重合。
